The Outland Tools DC12 Wood Chipper features a powerful and reliable RATO 420cc 4-stroke OHV petrol engine. With 15HP of power, it handles demanding chipping jobs with ease.

In addition, the electric start system provides quick and convenient operation. As a result, you can get to work faster and complete jobs more efficiently.

Efficient Duplex Drum Chipping System

The DC12 uses a duplex drum chipping system driven by a durable twin-belt drive. The drum contains two chipping blades and a counter blade. As the drum rotates, it chips material efficiently against the counter blade.

When the cutting edges become worn, you can rotate the blades and continue working. Consequently, you extend blade life and reduce maintenance costs.

Easy-to-Move Chassis

Outland Tools designed the DC12 for simple manoeuvrability around your property. Large pneumatic tyres provide excellent stability and make transport easy.

Furthermore, the integrated handles allow you to reposition the machine with minimal effort. The DC12 also includes a practical tow bar for moving the chipper around larger gardens and estates. However, the tow bar is not suitable for road towing.

Large Feed Hopper and Easy Maintenance

The large feed hopper accepts awkward and uneven branches with very little preparation. Therefore, you spend less time pre-cutting material before feeding it into the machine.

Like all wood chippers, occasional blockages can occur. However, the hinged hopper makes clearing them quick and straightforward.

Simply remove two nuts to open the hopper and gain direct access to the chipping chamber. Consequently, you can clear obstructions and return to work with minimal downtime.

Ideal Applications

The Outland Tools DC12 is ideal for processing branches up to 120mm in diameter. However, material at maximum capacity requires slower feeding and takes longer to process.

If you regularly need to chip timber at the machine’s maximum capacity, you may wish to consider a larger model. For continuous operation, the DC12 performs best with branches between 90mm and 100mm in diameter (approximately 4 inches).

This machine is a dedicated wood chipper rather than a chipper shredder. Therefore, it processes woody shrubs and leafy branches very effectively.

However, it is not suitable for processing large quantities of green waste, such as leaves, on their own.
